Set wings to these tales

Set wings to these tales
They have sat in their comfort for too long
They wallow in dreams and longing
Send them on a daring voyage
May they return to you with scares and flowers

Bruised on the cruel world
Danced with the nightly stranger
Ran with angered wind
Stumbled on the crooked steps
Sang to the beautiful statue
Kissed by the belly filling laughter
Served by the graceful charmer

Set wings upon these tales
Like lanterns, let them rise above the steeple
Glowing in beauty as they dance with the evening wind
Charmed by the burning light
Enchanting to the captivated child

Such is the essence of a good tale
Such is the essence of the adventure yet to be lived
Such is the desire of these plethora of words
Such is the desire of the travelling heart
Why then, do you keep this tale captive?
