Before the finish line

Right before the end
My heart wanes to a stop
Now I sit, staring at the finish line
Anxiety fills my heart
for I know not what lies tomorrow
Though the walk [now] is filled with pain
The knowledge comforts more than the pending ignorance
And so I sit
My stare is blank
And my heart is anxious
I [doubtlessly] dread this finish line

fear
